The global environment is characterized by challenging dynamics such as climate change, digital transformation, demographic increase, which require to be addressed through a holistic approach.
This special track encourages the submission of multidisciplinary scientific contributions which consider and analyze emerging innovation opportunities, considering social, environmental and economic implications.
Dynamic capabilities can play a significant role in improving organizations’ ability to innovate and forecast in an interconnected and constantly changing world. Emerging technological processes, such as the spread of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, are also influencing and redefining also the social, environmental and economic contexts. At a macroeconomic level, innovation can be a driver of the transition towards a sustainable development and well-being, balancing the needs of people, the environment and economies.
In order to address the complexity of social, economic and environmental interrelationships within organizations, approaches which combines different methodologies can be particularly effective. Submissions which propose the application of advanced forecasting methods (e.g., time series analysis and machine learning models), multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDMs), data mining but also innovative qualitative research methodologies are welcomed.
