Macro and Micro Foundations of Knowledge Combination in Hyperchanging Ecosystem

Research Area: Knowledge-Based Innovation
Reference No. of the Track: 24

Description

The emergence of ‘knowledge management’ as an important part of the explanatory structure of management field is an intellectual breakthrough that exalt the role of knowledge management as stream of research in management and organizational fields tracking a path-dependecy between internal and external capabilities first, then ecosystem and individuals as well as in terms of macro and micro foundations. In this vein, the knowledge combination should ultimately be to reach towards a multi-level research that combines aggregate constructs with top-down processes and bottom-up processes in a multi stakeholders helix of innovation where the virtuous flow of knowledge at micro and macro level should be combined to manage innovation substantially, globally and responsibly.
A two-tier system emerged in a hyperchanging environment that aim at guaranting two different needs emerge: from one side, by guaranteeing organizational efficiency at organizational level, on the other side by exploiting effectively market opportunity. This usually implies the integration of knowledge in technology transfer which can be accrued via the knowledge sharing between parties. However, by looking into the technological and social change literature, previous studies were mainly focused on macro-foundation of innovation and organizational innovative processes with less consideration to the role of human beings and psychological precursors of collaboration modes. Due to this gap, we intended to launch a track by adapting a two-tier approach, that try to emphasize and welcome multidisciplinary contributions drawing originality from the theory and model of planned behaviour (TPB) as well as knowledge codification, information theory with the endogenous nature of knowledge spillover and the implications for macroeconomic growth splitting the combination of knowledge for macro and micro dynamics of technological competitiveness and innovation capabilities for the organizations.
